 to have such dedicated tutoring during their math lessons.

Then someone decided to bomb the whole moment 

with a diaper that needed some immediate attention.

Feathered Friends

The children have been discovering so many nests this spring, and have been having such fun making friends with all of the little hatch-lings! 

Finding and feeding them worms......

.....even giving this sweet little fellow a helping hand as he was learning to fly!

I love that they are able to experience all of this.

Some of the many blessings of living out in the country.

Miss Posy's favorite lilac bush (where she has her pretend outdoor home) has two nests in it!

(~It is a good thing that Alfred the Gray-t  has been off adventuring lately.

We are hoping that they will escape his notice.)

Life has been very full these past few months.

A Duet

A White Woolly~Worm

Boots was so excited when he discovered this little fellow out by the swing set yesterday. He came running into the house shouting that I must come and see what he had found. I haven't seen many all white woolly-worms, and it is the opinion of some that if one is spotted it means a very snowy winter. Possibly even blizzards. I guess we will have to wait and see. I wouldn't mind a blizzard.......as long as we have a well-stocked pantry and plenty of hot tea!

As you may have noticed, this little guy sure did get around while I was taking pictures. In a hurry, no doubt, to find a nice cozy spot to spend the winter,,,,,,,blizzards or not!

Miss Posy found it out by the shop, and we gently coaxed it into a jar so that we could observe it more closely.

So Amazing!



It even was obliging enough to allow me to take several pictures, after we released it.
