She is an expert at mashing strawberries, and I am so grateful for her help!

My parents had a huge nest in the eaves of their house,

 and brought part of it over for us to examine.

Last Thursday we left for a weekend trip to pick up Big Brother from his summer camp in Wisconsin.  He was so excited to find these great big cucumbers in the garden when we got home.

 His "patch" has been doing well!

The weather has been so gorgeous! Sunny,

 breezy, and a slight nip in the air.

I am trying to get everything all organized for the beginning of school in a few weeks.

~And trying not to feel too overwhelmed by it all....

This summer has just gone by much too quickly!

These cheery little fellows greet me every time I step out the north door. Which has been as little as necessary lately ~it has been oppressively hot! But they don't seem to mind it much!

Home......

Vacation, is wonderful. 

But there is also something wonderful about being home.

With all these sweet little faces.

We haven't really been able to enjoy being back home all together just yet, as my Knight had to pretty much turn right around and head to California on business.

He will be back tomorrow.

But then Big Brother will be leaving on Monday for a ten-day boys camp.

He is so excited.

And I am so excited for him.

But I will really miss him too.

So there has been a lot of washing laundry from our vacation, 

and preparing clothes and other things for next week.

And making a blueberry pie, in the time in between.

(And a little ice cream on top never hurts either.)
