Poor Boots! His cruel mother kept him in for the first part of the day~ just until things warmed up a bit. (Don't judge her too harshly though..........Boots has been slowly convalescing from a nasty bout of the stomach flu.....)
It was a busy day in the kitchen. Homemade minestrone, cornbread (which kind of makes me think of sawdust~no, it doesn't taste like sawdust;)~, so it's perfect for St. Joseph's feast), and doughnuts.
