I enjoyed the last slice of cheesecake ~leftover from yesterday~ with my coffee this morning. We had some dear friends and family up to dinner yesterday, and the house was filled with children, lovely conversations, excellent food, sunshine, and crisp fresh air. Really a perfect day.
I had the foresight to make the cheesecake several days in advance, as I knew the weekend would be very busy (~And it was!!!!). The recipe I found in Joy of Cooking, and I used the nut crust recipe instead of the crumb crust. It turned out every bit as well as I hoped.......especially when topped with strawberry freezer jam....;)
