Guess What We Woke Up To........

What?!

Still not convinced?!

Oh, all right then.

Happy April Fools Day!

(And yes, it is currently 75-ish degrees out. I actually put all my window screens in today.
 Heaven, absolute heaven. :)

"One Little.....

Two little......

Three little Indians......."

This is how they came in to dinner one evening this week....
.....each of them using one of Miss Posy's head-bands to make a head-dress with fallen leaves.

What sillies!

Frost Picture.....

Can you see him?
The bearded man on the other side of those icy rocks?
See the steam floating over his left shoulder, and up into the frosty sky? Miss Posy and I believe it came from a huge pot of stew he was taking to some unfortunate peasants who live beyond the village....

You see the village behind him, right?
A few roof tops and the church spire are just peeking over the hill.

We discovered all this etched in the frosty windowpane yesterday morning. And I am glad I took the pictures when I did, for when I went to look at it again about a half an hour later, the bright morning sun had melted it all away....

The Easter Bunny?

Big Brother was so proud of himself after catching this little wild rabbit on Holy Saturday. He named him "Peter", and we released him with strict instructions to stay away from Mr. McGregor's garden. ;)

Wooden Rungs?

Not to Boots.
They are individual swords.

His own personal armory...
~Or so he was telling me at lunch.

This boy has such an imagination.
I love it.

If....

If I were a fairy, I most certainly would fashion a gown from one
of the blue morning glories just outside my kitchen window.
(Miss Posy says hers would be made from one of the pink.)

And I would make a pair of delicate slippers
from two snap dragon blossoms.
(Miss Posy says she would too.)

A spider's web would make a most beautiful shawl....
but as the weather is turning chilly, I think I would ask
a caterpillar to spin me a long cape of thick silk.
(Miss Posy agrees.)
Pretending is such fun.
